The British government is prepared to move forward with employing the entire amount of immobilized Russian holdings to bolster Ukraine's defense operations, PM Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a joint statement, the officials of the Britain, France, and Germany emphasized that this unified step would increase strain on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and urge Russia to participate in talks.

They clarified that the decision would be implemented in strong partnership with the United States.

British restrictions have frozen more than £25bn of Russian funds since Russia initiated its full-scale invasion against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. But, previously, resources sent to Ukraine using Russian holdings had exclusively been sourced from earnings and returns earned on them.

Sir Keir informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and Germany were united in their desire to push forward toward using the total worth of the seized Russian sovereign holdings to conclude the conflict.

He stated that additional restrictions over the next period would heighten the tension on Moscow.
