The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in an LA Vehicle Accident
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in California at the age of 55.
His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.
The renowned game designer lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This is an unimaginable loss, and we stand with Vince's family, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
