Delhi Awakens to Dangerous Smog Following Diwali

Several parts of the city showed an AQI over 500, which translates to a tenfold increase over the healthy limit recommended by the WHO.

Yet recently, the recently formed regional administration appealed to the supreme court to seek a easing of the prohibition.

Environmental contamination is calculated to be accounting for ten thousand premature fatalities each year in Delhi.
